1998- Graduated SouthEastern School of Cosmetic Art (awarded trophy for outstanding achievement in hair coloring at graduation) Became licensed by North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art. 1998-2006 - Co-owner and operator of Another Salon on Monroe Rd. Charlotte NC, full service salon offering nail care and hair care services for men and women. In addition to Deva Curl, advanced training includes Rusk, Thermafuse, Keune, Jessica Cosmetics, and North Carolina continuing educational requirements. Started career as a licensed manicurist in 1981. Owned and operated one of Charlotte’s first nail salons, The Emery Board, from 1981 to 1987. Received diploma in “natural nail cultivation” treatment at the Jessica Nail Care Training Center in Beverly Hills, CA. “After many years of seeing first hand the damage and health problems that can occur in the application and prolonged use of artificial nail products, I sought out and found a healthy treatment that nourishes, beautifies, and helps women grow their own natural nails.”
